Advising

Rules and Guidelines

 

1. When registering online, state specific questions/problems to facilitate the Adviser’s preparation.

 

2. Can book up to a maximum of two 30-minute sessions or one 60-minute session per week.

 

3. For concrete advice, bring two copies of your written work, presentation slides (not more than 4 slides per page), the task description or other related materials. For online sessions, send these to your Adviser 2 working days in advance, or be prepared to share them in real time.

 

4. Do arrive on time to meet your adviser, and make full use of the session time.

 

5. Cancel the booking 24 hours prior the appointment in case you have an unexpected schedule change.

 

6. Failing to attend an appointment will result in a 4-week ban from using the service.*

 

7. Note that advisers will not proof-read/edit your work, or review any language course assignments.

 

*Failure means a no-show or arriving the advising venue after 10 minutes.
