Board Games Night


Award-winning board games are awaiting you in the Language Commons.

Play and practice English at the same time.

 

Join us for this English Board Games Night!  Several award-winning board games have been selected exclusively for you. Instructions will be given on how to play the games. All-time favorites such as Monopoly and Pictionary will also be available. Register now.

 

Award-winning board games selection:

Dixit Odyssey The active player secretly chooses a card in his/her hand and describes it briefly but not too obviously. Each other player chooses a card in hand that matches the description. Players who make correct guesses score. 12
Scotland Yard A team of players, as London’s Metropolitan Police, cooperate to track down a player controlling a criminal, around a board representing the streets of London. 6
The Settlers of Catan Players throw dice to collect resources for building up their civilizations on the island of Catan. They can trade resources with one another to get the right materials for building settlements, cities, and roads. The one with 10 victory points wins the game. 8 (4 pairs)

HLTH1010 Course Hours Upon successful completion and satisfactory participation of the activity, you may be entitled to 2 HLTH1010 course hours under the “Wellness and Personal Enrichment” of the “Activities” module.
