The Canto-Corner

(for Putonghua Speakers)

All sessions will be conducted online.


Come, have fun and chitchat about almost anything in Cantonese with our friendly facilitator!

Group A (For students who have studied Cantonese for less than 30 hours)

Group B (For students who have studied Cantonese for 30 hours or above)

Eligibility All undergraduate and postgraduate students (Putonghua speakers only) of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology are welcome.
Medium of Communication All “The Canto-Corner” sessions are conducted in Cantonese, Putonghua when necessary.

Registration Method Please sign up for the session you would like to attend at least 1 day in advance. No walk-ins are allowed.

Rules
  1. Students must register at least 1 day in advance through the online registration system.
  2. Booking is limited to 2 sessions per week.
  3. Students are to use the online registration system to reschedule and cancel their bookings if necessary. The rescheduling and cancellation must be done at least 24 hours before the registered session through the online registration system.
  4. Students who are more than 10 minutes late for the registered session are regarded as no-shows. No-show students can still attend the registered sessions but are required to wait for 3 weeks before they can make further bookings for any “The Canto-Corner” sessions.
