Selling yourself, research ideas and business ideas
So you’re a budding inventor or entrepreneur but you don’t have an investor yet? You have a lucrative business plan but you don’t know how to pitch your business ideas? Or more broadly speaking, you don’t know how to sell yourself in a job interview? Or you feel tongue-tied when it comes to selling your research ideas? This course is exactly what you’re looking for! Based around the hit TV show Dragon’s Den, the course will teach you the language of advertising, as well as the importance of colour, images and subliminal messages. You will learn the skills to verbalise your ideas, persuade others and learn how to present yourself, your product or business plan.
Intended Learning Outcomes
- deliver a sales pitch in a confident and convincing manner
- identify and produce the components of an effective sales pitch
- identify and employ persuasive devices in their sales pitches
- employ pictures, symbols and music in their sales pitches
