Language Day Camp

Explore the Unexplored is a 2-hour online orientation event organised by the Center for Language Education for all HKUST students. The first priority will be given to students entering HKUST in September 2020.

• Meeting new friends from a range of ethnic, cultural and academic backgrounds;
• Sharing on interesting topics by senior students;
• Effective tips for smart learning;
• Online activities (with prizes); and
• Hands-on practice in using Zoom

Aims & Objectives

• To provide participants with a chance to establish friendship networks with the students from various years of studies, and academic/cultural/ethnic backgrounds;
• To facilitate cultural exchange among participants;
• To provide participants with a chance to use English for communication in a social context; and
• To brief participants on the important tips which would facilitate their language learning at UST.

Eligibility	All HKUST students are welcome. First priority will be given to the students entering HKUST in September 2020.
HLTH1010 Course Hours	Upon full and satisfactory completion of the “Explore the Unexplored”, the participants of HLTH1010 will attain 2 hours in the “Wellness and Personal Enrichment” part of the “Activities” module.
