Further Practice in Levels of Formality in Science Writing


Are you an aspiring science writer? Science writers play an essential role in explaining complex scientific information and bringing the news of remarkable discoveries to the public. The first step to learning about science writing is mastering informal and formal language.

 

In ‘Further Practice’, students will:

  • Explore and discuss the ‘myths’ of formal writing
  • Analyze degrees of formality in sentences relating to science
  • Produce a short essay
