Levels of Formality in Science Writing: To Be or Not to Be & Re-run


Are you an aspiring science writer? Science writers play an essential role in explaining complex scientific information and bringing the news of remarkable discoveries to the public. The first step to learning about science writing is mastering informal and formal language.

 

In ‘Levels of Formality’, students will:

  • Explore and evaluate features of informal and formal language relating to science
  • Produce a short science text

  1. All sessions of the activity will be conducted online. Please go through the guidelines here, which detail the preparation and computer equipment required, before joining in the event.
