Shifting Worlds of Language, Imagination and Silence –
an interactive talk to open up your senses in reading, writing and imaging in English

iLANG Guest Speakers Series

The world is read, written and imagined through our senses. This is our experience where the world is a “living text.” So, how do we, as individuals and a culture, “unpack” this “living text?” With our senses constantly engaged, we make sense every moment the simultaneous worlds that range from the minute such as the world of genes, bacteria, cells to the macro world of the World Wide Web, Hong Kong, humanity that we all are not only part of but deeply embedded in. The degree we can pay close attention on why and how we read, write or imagine, unravels, not only the outside world, but the inner world of our very selves. In turn, we know ourselves. Our voice gains clarity and expands in authenticity. The world, too, widens with possibilities. Hence, shifts!

Join Wilson in this interactive and explorative dialogue, where together as a group, we will journey through a shifting landscape of “living texts” that includes but not limited to visual texts, written texts, prompts for imagination, etc.
