Speaking Skills Practice Workshop (With ELPA Orientation) & Re-run

Come and learn the strategies for taking the ELPA test!

We will offer you practice for the test!

 

This workshop will look at the requirements of the ELPA test. Strategies for taking the test will be discussed and practice will be offered. The aim is to raise your speaking proficiency so you can better prepare for the ELPA test.

 

Intended Learning Outcomes

By the end of the workshop, you are expected to

  1. Be able to develop an idea comprehensively
  2. Speak fluently on a given topic and suggest how to solve common problems
  3. Be aware of and avoid some common errors in speaking
  4. Develop various strategies to respond to questions quickly
  5. Be able to use e-tools such as EGG, IYEP, MWS, JTW, WN and so on to improve grammar and vocabulary
  6. Understand the assessment criteria and formats in speaking proficiency tests e.g. ELPA
The workshops will be re-run during the term.

  1. All sessions of the activity will be conducted online. Please go through the guidelines here, which detail the preparation and computer equipment required, before joining in the event.
  2. All sessions offered in this term listed as below:

    • 31 March 2021 (2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.) (Re-run)
  3. The workshop facilitator reserves the right to cancel the workshop in case of insufficient attendance.
