Chinese Language Buddy Program (CLBP)

Introduction

The Center for Language Education offers the “Chinese Language Buddy Program (CLBP)”, which aims to promote a conducive and diverse language learning environment, and to encourage the confident and frequent use of Putonghua or Cantonese among the students of HKUST. Through joining various fun online group gatherings organized by your “Buddy” (a student leader fluent in Putonghua/Cantonese) throughout the semester, you can make friends from different places, learn about diverse cultures, practice speaking in relaxing environments, and boost your confidence in speaking Putonghua/Cantonese. Upon successful completion and satisfactory participation of the activity, you may be entitled up to 6 HLTH 1010 course hours under the “Wellness and Personal Enrichment” of the “Activities” module.
