Jessica joined the Center for Language Education in 2013. She teaches a number of undergraduate courses in the English curriculum, including both English for Academic Purposes and English for Specific Purposes. Jessica is also involved in the administration of the Center’s English test, the English Language Proficiency Assessment (ELPA).

Born and bred in England, Jessica completed her studies in London and Oxford before working as the Coordinator of English at an adult learning center in Newcastle upon Tyne. There she built up her experience teaching students from a diverse range of cultural and linguistic backgrounds. Her academic interests include Heritage Language Acquisition and Maintenance, an issue of particular personal importance given her British Chinese background.
