What is ELPA?

The English Language Proficiency Assessment (ELPA) is a criterion-referenced and performance-based English test. It assesses both the receptive and productive language skills in contexts relevant to academic studies at tertiary level. It was designed and developed by the Center for Language Education in response to the need for formative as well as summative assessment of English in use for academic purposes.

ELPA is made up of two main components:

The ELPA Written Test
Test with tasks testing your listening, reading and writing skills as well as your ability to recognize and use vocabulary.
The ELPA Speaking Test
One-to-one interview with an assessor.
