This 1.5-hour workshop is designed to walk you through the most basic necessities of life – food. Taking food as the lens of inquiry, you will bolster your discussion skill by sharing ideas on food, language, and culture. You will also share food-related practices in your local contexts and engage in food debate, thereby developing intercultural understanding and awareness of food-related social issues. 

 

Intended Learning Outcomes 

By the end of this course, you will be able to: 

  1. Apply food-related vocabulary and metaphors 

  1. Develop intercultural understanding through discussion of food practices in local contexts 

  1. Voice an opinion and engage in food debate
