What slangs are popular among the young Chinese generation? What kinds of interesting word formation do they have? Why do they become popular? 

This workshop will introduce: 

  • Popular slags in China and the word-formation types of them. 

  • The origins and spreading factors of the slang. 

  • Special meaning of the emojis in China. 

The participants will also be encouraged to share the slang used in their living environment and discuss their effects.
