Biography
Prior to teaching in tertiary institutions in Hong Kong, Elaine spent a couple of years working as a translator at WPP plc. upon the completion of her master degree in Interpreting and Translation Studies in the United Kingdom. She teaches a number of undergraduate courses in the English curriculum, including both English for Academic Purposes and English for Specific Purposes. Her research interests include English for academic purposes, academic literacy, critical discourse analysis, and materials development.
