Experiential Engagement is CLE's distinctive platform connecting language learning, intercultural communication, and AI-enabled communication skills beyond the formal curriculum. It gives students opportunities to take part in high-impact experiences across HKUST and with partners beyond the University. It also connects CLE with academic departments, student societies, industry, and the wider community, creating opportunities that are visible, meaningful, and collaborative. 

Student partnership is central to experiential engagement. Activities are co-created with students, so you can participate not only as a learner, but also as an ambassador, contributor, or leader. Through competitions, performances, design projects, cross-cultural exchange, and leadership roles, you build practical communication skills, develop a professional portfolio, and gain recognition for your work.
