French Language and Culture for Beginners II
Course Description
Ready to take your French skills to the next level? LANG2310 builds on students’ existing French foundation and supports progression towards intermediate proficiency through face-to-face learning. By the end of the course, students will reach full A1 proficiency and move beyond basic greetings to express needs and wishes, discuss past experiences and future plans, and communicate about everyday topics such as housing, health, university life, and career goals. This course adopts a pass/fail grading system.

Assessments
- Course Participation: In-class participation, take-home tasks, and pop quizzes
- Cultural Presentation: 10–15-minute group presentation in French
- Review Quiz: Oral test, listening, reading, and writing
Target Students
- Students who have completed LANG1310 or have prior basic knowledge of French at CEFR Level A1.1 and wish to further develop their communication skills and cultural understanding.
