And, as Asian economies expand and become more involved in the global economy, having the ability to write clear and concise English is important when exchanging information. This course has two goals. The first is to introduce non-native speakers of English to methods for developing written English language and communication skills for doing business in Asia. The second is to examine the impact of cross-cultural interactions and globalization on English communications. By exploring and participating in a business simulation set in Asia, you will develop the principal skills for effective communication in English when conducting business in China and other Asian countries.

The VR job interview app (2D/ VR), I'm IN - HKUST, is now available on the Apple store and Google Play Store. You can log on to the app using your CAS login credentials. The app aims to improve your job interview skills by providing 2 resources, interview practices and mini-lessons. During the practice sessions, job interview questions tailored to 15 different professions, 3 challenge levels, and 3 duration types will be asked. You could also view mini-lessons on topics including preparing a digital portfolio and a LinkedIn profile, cover letter writing, group interviews, answering standard and unexpected questions, using effective body language in an interview, etc., featuring some of the CLE teachers and 3 HR Directors/ Managers from the industry. VR goggles could be borrowed from HKUST Library. With the VR goggles, you could experience a 'real' interview.
