Exclusive UG Student Reimbursement Offer

If you’re an undergraduate HKUST student, you might get 100% or 50% IELTS test fee reimbursement after joining our IELTS Subsidy Scheme! Here’s how:

  1. Follow the application process below to complete your application.
  2. Attend at least 2 iLANG IELTS events BEFORE you take the test:

*Please note that 2 one-to-one coaching sessions equal to 1 eligible IELTS event!

 [Remark] Being late by 15 minutes or more for the events would be counted as absence

      3. Complete the IELTS test at HKUST in one of the following dates: Feb 28, Mar 7, Mar 14, Mar 21, 2026.

      4. Achieve one of the following results for Academic IELTS:

  • 100% refund (HKD 2,416) with an overall band of 6.5 or above.
  • 50% refund (HKD 1,208) with an overall band of 6.0. 

      5. Submit your reimbursement application by the deadline (Apr 4, 2026). 

 

How to Secure Your Spot?

Places are limited and offered on a first-come, first-served basis!  

Deadline for your expression of interest is 12 December 2025.

 

Application process:

1. Scan the QR code below to access the expression of interest form. Complete the Qualtrics form by 12 December 2025:

2. Register for the subsidy scheme via the link provided in the invitation email that will be sent to you. Deadline to complete this will be 5 working days from receipt of invitation email. 

3. Register and make payment via the private IDP Online Registration System links that will be sent to you. Deadline for registration is 3 weeks from receipt of the private registration links.

 

Remarks:

a) Students MUST register via the private registration link to be eligible for the reimbursement.

b) Upon successful registration, you will receive confirmation from IDP and not from CLE, HKUST. 

c) A test session may be cancelled or rescheduled due to insufficient enrollment. You will be notified promptly if any changes become necessary. 

 

Payment method:

Students pay the test fee by credit card via the IDP Online Registration System. 

 

How to claim your reimbursement? 

      1. Complete the IELTS test at HKUST.

      2. Receive your official IELTS Test Report Form (TRF).       

      3. Submit your reimbursement application online by the deadline (Apr 4, 2026) with the following documents:

  • Your student ID

  • A scanned copy of your IELTS Test Report Form

  • Details of the iLANG language events you attended (event title, date, and facilitator’s name)

  • The receipt of payment for test

      4. Reimbursement will be deposited into your bank account as indicated in SIS.
