Sand Painting: An Artistic Journey into Chinese Culture

SPW-134-001

Date: 27 February 2026
Time: 15:00-16:30
Registration: 30 January – 23  February 2026

This workshop combines hands‑on sand painting with focused language and communication practice. Participants learn about the art history, techniques, and symbolism while practising Mandarin vocabulary, short descriptive writing, and brief oral presentations tied to their artworks. Activities include teacher demonstration, pair/group discussion, and a mini‑gallery sharing session to build speaking, listening, reading and writing skills in a cultural context. Creating a tangible sand painting helps students articulate artistic choices, deepen intercultural awareness, and gain communicative confidence.
