Do you know what mini-Cantonese Operatic songs are?

Do you know how they become popular?

Do you want to know how the song creator approaches the writing of these songs?

In this workshop the speaker Mr Bruce K. C. Ma will share his journey of writing mini-Cantonese Operatic songs and he will lead us to take part in singing his award-winning works such as Chinese Martial Arts (中華武術) and The Neighborhood Master Chef (街坊廚神). Let’s explore the charm and the creative process of mini-Cantonese operatic singing in a fun way!

This is the second in the 2024 Autumn Cantonese Opera Taster Workshop Series.

Other workshops in this series are:

1. Basic Martial Arts Skills in Cantonese Opera

3. Cantonese Opera, a World Intangible Cultural Heritage

4. Floral Princess
