This 6 hours (2 hours x 3 sessions) short course is the second part of our practical Cantonese short course, focusing on Hong Kong’s unique and vibrant food culture. Students will learn to navigate a local Cha Chaan Teng, customize food orders, and master the etiquette of a traditional Yum Cha meal. The module covers essential vocabulary for drinks, dim sum, and currency, along with the crucial social distinction between the two “Thank yous.” Through immersive role-plays—from an “Office Coffee Run” to a full “Yum Cha Scenario Simulation”—students will practice ordering food, handle large bills, and split the check. This module ensures students can confidently eat three meals a day like a true local.
